My Family & I
As a third generation Texan, I am proud of my roots. My great grandfather came to the United States from Mexico to build opportunity for his family. Growing up in Atascosa County, I learned about hard work, often helping my mom in the cotton fields while my dad worked at Kelly Air Force Base.
After being drafted during the Vietnam era, I proudly served in the United States Air Force and honorably discharged as a sergeant. Upon completion of my service, I came back to San Antonio and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from UTSA. Since then, I have spent my career in the private sector doing everything from auditing to leading as founder and CEO of a distribution company. I enjoy leasing my 2,000 acre cattle ranch to grow cattle and sell them to farmers.
My wife, Evangelina, and I have been married for 46 years. Evangelina has taught special education students in Northside ISD for over 20 years. We have raised three beautiful children, Daniel, Patrick, and Jeanette. We are blessed with two grandchildren. Evangelina and I taught our kids that by working hard, they could all achieve their goals. I am proud to say they have all three reached the master's degree level in their education.
